Avocados!

OKAY. This woman is BRILLIANT. www.everythingfab.com  especially these recipes! Avocados are a very good way to get fat (it's healthy fat!) and are vital to a young person's diet.. or really anyone's diet.  Avocados are relatively cheap, at around $1.50 or so per pound.. depending on where you shop.  I've got slim pickings when it comes to produce, but I make it work. The little green gems are packed FULL of potassium and other vitamins and minerals that will help you throughout the day.  Another thing to remember is that avocados add texture to any dish, whether it be a simple slice on a turkey and whole wheat sandwich, or diced up in a yummy arugula salad- it's simple and easy to add... and cheap, too!

Anyways, another good thing to check out is this YouTube video by Miranda Valentine.. about How-to's with avacados!
